Hornby Island Fire Academy - Fourth Annual Cadet Camp
Once again this spring break the Hornby Island Volunteer Fire Department firefighters spent two days with cadets teaching the fundamentals of firefighting. A lot of fun was had by all as the cadets were taught to understand fire behaviour, about firefighters personal protective gear, as well as having training in water and foam fire streams. Another year, and another group of wonderful cadets, and their parents are better prepared for those unforeseen events. Lots of learning and lots of new experiences filled the two days.
