The Hornby Island Get Out Migration
April 30th, 2010 - Buckly Bay to Fanny Bay
Hornby Islanders spent a wonderful afternoon "migrating" from Hornby Island to Fanny Bay as part of Alexandra Morton's campaign "The Get Out Migration" which supports the preservation of wild salmon. Around 30 Hornbyites migrated, including a third of our school population! The children really get the message and are SO hopeful that government will make the right decisions before it is to late for the wild salmon and the multiple species who depend on them.
